World On Fire - Right then.
What goes on in Tony Black's mind I'll never know. Here we have a well crafted tale outlined by Tony and half written by him and finished off by Adam. It's a testament to how well these two work together that I couldn't tell where Tony stopped and Adam started.
Smiler Gorch is basically The Joker if he were an arsonist. The level of insanity that man has is actually quite creepy. I expect I shall have nightmares tonight. Casting David Tennant was a good move as he fit the role so well. I could quite clearly imagine the insanity he would bring to the role.
I kinda twigged that Sara might be pregnant when she had to run off to be sick. Her story with Owen came to a nice conclusion. I liked the DSR elements, in particular Kendall. I'm still at the beginning of S3 of Alias, so it was nice seeing him turn up again.
Jackson's strained relationship with Kendall was needed I think and seeing them fighting each other subtly before coming to a mutual understanding was a brilliant arc.
Onto Alec and Chloe for a second, I feel like something else is gonna come up and spoil their relationship during Army of God. Part of me doesn't want to see that now that they've gotten together. On that note, Raina's cameo was nice and it was good to touch base and see what's going on with her.
I do wonder what her first meeting with Baines was like tho

The humour in this tale is brilliantly written. Jackson and Boone are a perfect comedy duet and Alec is a one-liner machine, particularly in the beginning.
The finale scene sets up Army of God then. What has Gideon got himself now then?
