WALKER TO RETURN IN BRAND NEW FEATURE-LENGTH SPECIAL THIS EASTER!Back Room Productions today announced the start of production of WORLD ON FIRE, a brand new feature length episode of Walker, to be released exclusively on MZPtv.
The special, expected to be released at Easter, will be written by Executive Producer A.J. Black and will see the cast of Walker united with the team from The DSR to confront a terrifying new enemy with a sinister plan.
"The idea to have the Walker gang team up with the next generation of The DSR is something I've wanted to do ever since the DSR came to an end a couple of years ago," explains series creator and executive producer Adam Scott. "Well, you can imagine Tony's reaction to that. At one point this story was going to form the basis of Walker's fourth season but when Tony decided he was going to bring the DSR back properly for a sixth season we realised this was too good an idea to waste. Hence the special, and I think Tony's managed to do something quite extraordinary with this."
A.J. Black added "It's a real thrill to be able to write a Walker feature special after so many years helping to create the show we know and love. 'World on Fire' is going to be a real treat for fans of the entire AliasVerse, not just Walker, while telling an exciting story forwarding Alec and co while, just maybe, setting up a little bit The DSR's big return later this year. I'm psyched to get started."
Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Miranda Raison, Leonard Roberts and Philip Glenister are set to reprise their roles as Alec Walker, Chloe Parker, Jackson Byers and John Henry Boone respectively. They'll be joined by Terry O'Quinn, reprising his role of Director Joseph Kennedy of The DSR alongside Romola Gari as Sara Mitchum-Kennedy and Nathan Fillion as Owen Mitchum and a brand new DSR team.
Stephen Fry has also been confirmed to be reprising his role of Gordon Dessler, alongside David Tennant, who has been cast in the role of an enigmatic yet highly dangerous villain who represents a threat unlike anything Alec and co have ever encountered before.
Written by A.J. Black and produced by Back Room Productions, WALKER: WORLD ON FIRE is set to debut on MZPtv on Easter Sunday. The show's fourth season will begin airing in the autumn.
