Greetings and hope the New Year is starting out superior! I am a writer/director/actor and usually working on working. I have am hoping to learn tons of stuff from this forum and make some real money by selling my written work or getting funding to make it happen. Blunt honesty seems to work best for me.
Started off in radio decades ago writing copy and news, moved to television then in front of the camera. I've read some really bad scripts and turned down a number or rolls because the writing was that bad. Learning from the others is key in my book.
If you want to do real estate hang with realtors, if you want to be a car salesman, go to a dealer ship. I am in the entertainment BUSINESS to get paid for entertainment. I'm hanging with you all to further my career not get teary-eyed over 2 pages of how descriptive you want to 'direct' a scene.
I'm looking for brutal honesty from you all to make me better. Because in the end, I have to pay my bills and that is just it. I will offer the same so you can pay yours by pursuing your passion.
