This Sunday marks the first ever MZPtv Script Sunday -- where we encourage every single MZPtv forum member, lurker, or casual visitor to open up a script and READ! You can read absolutely anything you want -- a full hour-long drama, a half-hour comedy, a movie, a mini-series episode, a pilot, or even a webisode.

The only thing we ask of you is that you post a comment on the forums (or leave a comment on the relevant episode or VDVD on the website, if you're not into forums), and let the writer know you've read their work. Whether you're into posting full, essay length reviews, or just a one sentence reply, all feedback is welcomed. Writers love to hear back from the audience, so don't be afraid to join in.

This weekend and next, we're just doing a free-for-all -- that is, everybody reads whatever they want. In future weeks we'll be looking to do "themes". For instance, we might ask everyone to read the same pilot script. If you've already read the script we've picked, you could still join in with the discussion. You could even read something else, just as long as you're reading something, we're happy.

It was a blast! This was a day where two new features bonded an in unexpectedly cool way - we had Script Sunday, and we had discussion and cheerleading of Script Sunday going on in the new chatroom. That was really neat.

We're back again tomorrow, Sunday 13th November. Another free-for-all script reading Sunday.

Next week we'll figure out some options for a joint read of the same scripts.

PLEASE TAKE PART! Especially if people read your scripts last week and you didn't return the favour. Pass it forward, folks. Don't be a shellfish. Nobody likes a crab.

Given that Sunday is the last day of the Brumble and a good chunk of the assembled MZP massive will be either drunk, hungover, knackered or making their way home (or some combination of the above) might it be worth doing that next week?

Despite my earlier joke, I think a free-for-all is best with the Brumble crew all away. Best to do a more focused Script Sunday next week.

I dunno. Script Sunday is getting people to read all sorts of scripts, old and new...why break something that's working by trying to get people to read certain things?
