Just a little note to remind everyone that the next Pilot Season will begin on
March 1st 2011, so make sure your finished pitches and pilots are ready for submission before then.
Please remember our
PICKUP REQUIREMENTSYou must have aired AT LEAST one solo script or co-write
on MZP-TV to be considered as a showrunner.
This is non-negotiable. We want people to contribute and prove themselves before we hand out the keys to the kingdom.
What we're also looking for from prospective showrunners is at least
two of the following:
A set amount of time spent on a series(this basically means spending at least half a season on a series, instead of coming in late and picking up a freelance job at the last second).
A conversation between Lee (Monster Zero) and the
showrunner the pilot season participant worked for(to get feedback on what you're like as a producer, a writer, and as a person!).
Evidence of previous experience writing Virtual Series(we realise MZP-TV isn't the only fish in the sea, so if you've got previous experience elsewhere make sure we know about it!).
A set amount of scripts written for the pitch(1 minimum, 2 or 3 preferred - though any scripts past the pilot are for Lee (Monster Zero)'s eyes only. This will help judge your quality and commitment).
Obviously, your experience on other shows counts for a lot - if you're new, you'll need to do a little more to prove to us we can trust you with a show, basically.
