No, this IP is a permanent server address. It's just the ugly version of a URL. All posts and PMs are safe, as long as they're done on this board and not the old one.

I was getting a message saying "direct your browser to this address, etc", when I went on the old board. Now, it's back to normal. Should I be using that one or this one?

For anyone still seeing the "we've moved" message via mzp-tv.co.uk/forum, try clearing your browser history/cache, that can kick your computer's arse and get it caught up. Otherwise it'll happen naturally at some point soon.

Doesn't seem to be any faster than me, but then again I only had intermitant problems with it being slow. Navigating the pages to upload episodes is a damn-sight faster though.

Yea it's as fast for me as it always was but as long as there isn't any random bursts of slow loading I'll be a happy camper.

I've noticed the increase everywhere, but the Wordpress dashboard is definitely a huge improvement.

God yeah. Instead of ten minutes faffing about I can upload an episode in just a few now. That should cut out on some of the stress (what the hell, I wasn't planning on using that molar anyway...)

Yeah I haven't noticed any significant change. I never even realised that the board was slow. Whenever it was, I just assumed it was my internet connection.

It seems a little faster to me. I noticed the forum started messing with special characters in people's screen names though, hence I've changed mine once more!

(Though I'm not entirely sure why changing host would have an effect on that

)

I accidentally uploaded the database in the wrong characterset, it was UTF8 on the old place and latin1 something-or-other on the new one. I've converted it back to UTF8 so it should be fine now.

An analogy would be...instead of writing a letter in British English it was written in American English, so while most things looked fine there were some errors. Like words such as "colour" not having a "u" in them. Silly Americans.
