Don’t you dare have Jenna break Andrew’s heart here, Miss Sheppard, I like the guy way too much for that to happen!

Hahaha, I remember defending him way back when you used to think him as annoying!

Yeah he's warmed to me a lot more over the years, mainly because he's grown in the show.

Thanks, Tony! The last half of Season 3, really from 3x07 onwards, are some of my proudest writing moments. I'm really pleased you're enjoying the season so far :)

Reading your review, Tony, I'll let SJ comment on most of it - but from what I remember a lot of Shane's long term arc was quite thought out in the long term.

If definitely wasn't thrown in during the writing of the episode, that's for sure. I can't remember exactly when it all clicked but we plotted a lot of the original S3 before the show even premiered and that element was definitely in there.

Cool. Maybe it was seeded in better than I remember, I'd need to re-read old stuff to know, but it's a great direction to take Shane in certainly.

Yeah, for me right now this is the best thing on MZP.

Shame this one didn't hit the heights of the previous few for you, though I understand your points. This one started off as focusing mainly on Vi transitioning into a new phase of life - uni after high school - but nearing the end of the season there was just so much stuff swirling around that had to go somewhere. Not an excuse but more an explanation as to how that many storylines ended up in here. As always, thanks for the review! :)

Just finished reading "Vi and Shane's Infinite Playlist" and I've got to agree with everything Tony said in his review. It was a really tight episode with a lot happening without me ever feeling lost. Everybody got brilliant character beats and whilst Nathan (one of my favourites) didn't get much to do, it was nice to see Bianca and Penny gaining some prominence as we approach the final episodes. I look forward to seeing how the last episodes pan out because if this is any indication, things are going quite nicely!

Thank you, sir. Glad this one connected with you a bit more.

I totally agree that Shane may not understand his feelings for Vi at this stage. Their relationship is more complicated than being just platonic (or just romantic, for that matter). Their conversation was my attempt at closing that book for the time being.

On another note, I was mildly confused by the final scene – was Vi seeing Andrew getting up out of bed a vision, essentially? The soul leaving the body? I guessed it might be but wasn’t entirely sure – plus isn’t Andrew already dead, hence being part of the Company. Are the rules different?

Yep, Vi seeing Andrew alive and well was another one of her "Am I crazy?" moments. Like when she saw him in her therapy group at the psych hospital. She's still under the influence of the pills they gave her.

Also, a bit of a sly trick, hopefully making the readers think he was fine, and then revealing the truth. I think perhaps it would play out better as a visual, rather than words on a page. Honestly, it's been so long since I wrote this, I had to go back and look up a few moments in the script.

Andrew, Vi and the other Company employees are brought back to life when they're hired. They're not dead people walking around.

Thanks for another detailed review!

Ah that makes it a bit clearer. I didn't really pick up on it being a sign of Vi's 'craziness' though (maybe if she'd seen some dead people walking around earlier in the ep it might have foreshadowed this better).

But yeah... can't quite believe I've only got the finale left. Seriously going to miss this show!

Reading your reviews has made me quite nostalgic for Vi's world myself. I just wish I could write something new that is just as well received :)

You just need to write something new, regardless. Your writing is consistently the best I read on this site, and I'm going to miss it.

Pretty much how I felt Tony. But I gave up trying to be objective as I just let myself enjoy it as much as I could. Which was a lot.

Cheers, Tony. I think it's true that I held back from going too dramatic as I couldn't imagine a finale where any of the characters were dealt too much heartache. Thank you for doing such an amazing review job on this final season. It's been great getting your thoughts on it. I must hurry up and write something new so you can review that too :D

Now I must finally get cracking on Kings Cross to return the favour!

YES you must!

Absolute pleasure, SJ. I'm so glad that you sent the show out on a high - a massive well done from me, and thank you so much for such a great piece of entertainment.
