I assume this can be read without having read DSR but which episodes from that tie into this show?

Absolutely this can be read with no prior knowledge of either The DSR or Schism. If you wanted to get some background, though, the DSR season four episodes Atonement, Sins of the Mother and Black Chapter all have information about the series, and John Henry Boone has a brief appearance in the Schism episode Ruin.

Both shows are on my to read list, Schism easily in the next few weeks but DSR seems like a bit more of a catchup.

I do have until September though  8-)

I know I said with Schism you didn't need to read The DSR, but with Walker I genuinely mean it.  :D

Adam and I have been planning this for over 2 years - boy, are we ready to see you guys enjoy it!

Very curious to see this new part of the Aliasverse. Given there are three virtual spinoff, it looks odd that the parent show didn't get one in the real world. Unless you say that MI:3 is Alias-The Movie (which it almost is).

In terms of tone, yes, I'd agree with you on that one.

The fact that it's a spin-off from Alias is a bit peripheral, though, given that this started life as a wholly original piece. The long origin story of Walker as a project will be discussed in some depth.

Yeah, it's loosely a spin-off really. It inhabits the same verse but if you've never seen Alias, you can totally read this. I very much doubt Alec Walker has ever even heard of Sydney Bristow!

When did this pop-up?

Very interesting to read the latest chapter of the D.S.R.-verse. I call it that because it seems to be more rooted in the universe Tony set up, rather than the one initially established by J.J. Abrams and writers.

That's more accurate to say, Jake, and I'm glad to have you aboard for when we launch.
