Psst!

It says that the season premiere would air May 2nd when, evidently, it didn't.

Any news on when the final season of Somewhere InBetween will air??

well, it ain't gonna be August 1st, I should change the forum header...

Simply put, Slayer Academy is the priority for now. SiB's actually fairly well planned already, but I think it'll be later in the year - October, November maybe - before I get this one up and running.

Does anyone know if this is a show that'd be up my alley (as a fan of DSR and Night Stalker)?

And just an FYI, this is still listed as premiering August 1st 2009 on the S5 subheading, and in the Season Five post, it still lists May 2nd 2009.
Is Fringe the best show on TV?

Yeah, you won't be seeing this before the Winter given Lee needs to tie up Slayer Academy first. You might want to change that airdate, Chrimesy.

And I reckon you might enjoy it, Angelo. It's very Whedon and you're more an Abrams/Carter man like me - but I wouldn't write for something that wasn't worth your time. The characters here are well worth the effort.

There's vampires and demons and apocalypses o-my!

But, seriously: well worth getting into, and I'm not just saying that because I write for the show. If you like something with funny, fleshed-out characters that people love (Twist McFadden is a veritable goddess of VS), stories which are a shade darker than most supernatural stuff and cracking action that usually involves the end of the world - then Somewhere InBetween is your haven...

crap, yes, them there airdates needs some updatin'.

Provisionally, late 2009. no firm date as of yet, but the season's mapped out so it's a question of knuckling down to write the thing.

How on earth has it taken this long?

Well, lots of reasons - getting Slayer Academy finished, an unpleasant situation at my (now previous) place of employment that knackered me for several months, and so on and so forth.

But!

With all but the final two episodes storyboarded and a staff in place, plus the recent completion of Slayer Academy after five epic years, I can confirm that work is beginning, at long long last, on the final season of Somewhere InBetween.

I'll set a firm airdate later in the year when I have more episodes written, but hopefully I can start getting this out there in time for the Fall Season in September.

I will also work out a Shackles-style recap of Seasons One to Four, given how long it's been (two and a half years!) since we were last on air.

So! I'll update all of this over the coming weeks, but you'd better believe the hype, kids - SiB is back!

Time for an update then!

Episodes 5x01, 5x02 and 5x04 have been written, work on 5x03 about to begin. I think a 2012 premiere is looking more likely at this rate while I also work on Nine Lives, but rest assured SiB will be back before you know it.
