The High Life has been buzzed to return every year since it vanished mid-season, so all the excitement the last few upcoming revivals squandered is struggling to return. That said, if by some miracle new episodes finally do there, I'm there like MJ on a Debbie death rally.

^ Fair point. Really, I'm just more jazzed that Chris fucking Kelly (and that is the only way I shall type his name) is back in the game.

Note: I'm having way too much fun with these new emoticon thingamajigs.

And Alden, Glad to hear it. You'll be shocked to know that quite a few episodes have already been written.  But Emma and I have been planning this since last June, so really...if work hadn't been done I'd be skeptical too.

MIRACLE! (any fans of How I Met Your Mother will get that reference)

So that's three things I need to look at in relation to Seers...

Angelo is easily the most underrated graphics talent on MZP. I guess his writing's so good folks sometimes overlook his awesome graphic work.

Shackles Season Three... Angelo, you're a machine!!

:) I'm hoping for a summer premiere date, but first and foremost, I want to make sure the season's completely in the can (and that Lee has room on his ever-growing MZP schedule of course).

You had to go and make me blush, didn't you?  :o Seriously though, I'm nowhere near the talents of some of you guys. (Just looking at Vaughn's "photograph" image for his pilot made me pee my pants.) But thanks for the kudos, that's awesome coming from you!

Swell graphics Ange.

And considering how Season 2 ended, it's going to be a long wait!

Thanks Dino/Trix. :)

The idea is that everytime somebody reviews the finale, I will reveal another S3 cast member, and then post that cast member's Promo here. There's been three so far, and I have a few others waiting in the wings. And I'll try to make the hiatus as short as possible! I know you were left with quite an ending there....

Thanks -- and really, thanks to Paul since he's the CG genius who makes it all possible.  I was tempted to show more... that's really just the tip of the iceberg (figuratively and perhaps literally, given the climate).  But I'll have to wait... and it is indeed worth the wait, I think.

So are those images from a video game or something? Or are they created from scratch?

From scratch. I'm not sure what program Paul uses, but he's awesome with this kind of stuff.

Paul could answer better... I think it is (or was) Lightwave 3D or some such thing.

Basically with these trailers, I go to Paul with a shot list culled from a script, or a script-in-progress, a specific as I can get in terms of look and direction.  Paul takes that and crafts a ton of shots which he uploads to our FTP.  I grab 'em and edit them, usually to music of someone else's suggestion (Jay often picks out our trailer music), although this time, I also chose the music.  Henrik has polished off our trailers in the past with top-notch audio mixing, sound effects, and so forth.

It's an interesting process, a truly global collaboration as, outside of Jay and myself, everyone else is across the pond.  We've also used the likes of Craig McCue, Cynthia Dusenberry, and Jaron Hatch for our voice acting.  (Craig is, in fact, doing a voice for this trailer, along with myself and some others.)

The process has evolved from showing simple, ship-based clips from our episodes (usually the Enterprise, either in battle or doing something interestig) to this, which will be sort of the culmination of all the CG stuff we've ever done.  At just under five minutes, it's going to be a big trailer.  I fear Paul's computer may not like him much after all the hours of rendering.

Yep, I use Lightwave for everything apart from the characters. Alot of pure Lightwave users hate the fact that Poser is used for the characters. But to be honest I really don't have the time to hand sculpt each one, this is just a hobby for me. I can crack out a working, animating and lip synched character from Poser in a few hours depending on the complexity.

Although, if you don't know anything about this that last paragraph would make no sense at all

The best bit about doing this is being able to bring to life these characters and their stories. It's a very creative process...but it takes ages! So far it's taken me 3 months to render out about 2 mins worth of animation.
