The MZPtv Buffyverse
« on: September 14, 2011, 12:58:23 PM »

Without Buffy the Vampire Slayer, we wouldn't be here. That's a fact. After Joss Whedon's groundbreaking show finally ran to its finale after seven glorious years with the worldwide activation of hundreds of new Slayers, Joss left the door open to the show's many fans around the world to pick up the baton and carry on running however they saw fit. And so, the 'Buffyverse' was born.

One such result was Season Eight, a virtual TV series project that went on to produce two full seasons and a movie finale to Buffy, and was one of the founding roots of MZP as it exists today. Soon afterwards, Angel joined the ranks with a virtual continuation by the same team, also running for two seasons with a movie finale.

The MZPtv Buffyverse expanded further with two new shows set within the continuity established by the parent shows - Faith, charting the exploits of former rogue Slayer Faith Lehane as she relocated to New York, and Slayer Academy, the exploits of the Rupert Giles Academy in England, whose students were all taken from the new generation of Slayers post-Buffy.

Other Buffyverse shows have made their presence known on MZPtv, operating within their own canon separate to our own Buffyverse - Connor and Hell's Gate quickly developed strong fanbases, along with the dimension-hopping Fate and several other series, all of which can still be found on MZPtv.

So let's get started with an overview of the four primary shows, before you delve further into the continuing adventures of Buffy, Angel, Faith and the girls of the Slayer Academy!

developed by Lee A. Chrimes & Darren J. Eldred
based on characters created by Joss Whedon

In a nutshell, Buffy Summers is The Slayer. A Chosen One destined to help mankind battle against the forces of darkness, plucked from her old life as a high school fashion queen and dumped into the murky world of vampires, demons and other things with more teeth than feels strictly necessary. After seven long years of fighting back the darkness in Sunnydale, California, home to one of the ‘Hellmouths’ (gateways into the underworld and beacons for all kinds of nasty), Buffy achieved the impossible by destroying the Hellmouth (and Sunnydale with it), and activating every ‘Potential’ Slayer in the world, creating almost two thousand new warriors for her ongoing crusade.

Relocating to Cleveland to tackle the next Hellmouth, Buffy and the Scooby Gang face challenges such as ancient gods, evil cults, scheming businessmen, malevolent spirits and blows that strike much too close to home. All the triumph, heartbreak, drama and action of the Buffy Virtual Continuation is now available in this Complete VDVD Collection!
