50 years after the war with the Dominion, a failing Federation launches an ambitious effort: to unite our galaxy with countless others in a network that would bring about untold prosperity: The Frontiers Project.

Kyle Sito prepares to take command of the new USS Enterprise.  His mission: to travel to the distant galaxy of M106 and begin construction on the first transwarp hub, as part of an ambitious plan to "seek out new life and new civilizations."  But when a peace treaty is finally signed with the Romulan Empire, longtime enemies of the Federation, chaos begins to consume the quadrant and Sito finds himself forced to choose between love, duty, and loyalty.
