Haha, yup, it's uncomfortably close to that. (Though it was also a good picture, granted).

I liked the suit as it was in Dawn of Justice, but I understand that they gotta sell toys.

That Harley Quinn spin-off is officially in development.

I'm almost as curious about this one as I am Affleck's Batman.

As long as they use her Animated Series outfit i'm cool with it.

Yeah, at least bother having her dress like the classic clown girl we all love.

Not a fan of the Animated outfit myself. I'd just like to see her in the proper colors. I never really liked much about the animated version of Harley though.

Just say you're not a fan of the character then. Don't procrastinate.

Despite my disdain for The Killing Joke, I'd give Timm credit that I thought his version of Harley was the better one.

Margot Robbie talked about how they tried pretty much every Harley Quinn look, including the jester costume and the corset/skirt. She said they didn't really work but she'd be open to trying new looks in future movies. And I don't know if you guys have seen the movie, but the jester costume is referenced, and Margot Robbie even appears in it in a fantasy sequence/flashback. It looks pretty silly, IMO. It's good in cartoons and comics, but doesn't hold up to the scrutiny of live action.

That wouldn't be true. I like the character, just not every version of her. Animated Harley was mostly just there for "comic relief" and most of the "jokes" revolved around domestic abuse. I just never found that enjoyable to watch. I like how the comic version was able to evolve into a strong, independent leader while still being super crazy and kinda funny.

  Just my opinion though.

Totally agree. I'm sure we'll see it again in some way or another but I'm guessing it'll always be brief.

My thing is have her actually dress as a clown. Something close to the classic look but a little modernized. Robbie had the personality down,IMO, but the look she had was so un-Harley. If her spin-off film has a costume that is close yet a more updated look then they're on the right track.

Looks like Suicide Squad is getting the extended cut treatment as well. I wonder who's going to be responsible for it, seeing as how David Ayer said the theatrical was his preferred version. Based on what the actors have said it sounds like there's a whole lot of unused footage out there though so consider me intrigued.

I can't really think of anything that "needs" to be added though really. Maybe better introductions for Katana and Slipknot if they've got them. The only thing that really stood out as "missing" was during that scene where Enchantress tries to seduce the Squad with visions of their fantasies. We never got to see what Boomerang wants most. I imagine it'd be quite hilarious.

Some big DCEU rumors came out this week.

First, a supposed shortlist of actors to play Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern Corps has been released:

http://www.thewrap.com/hal-jordan-green-lantern-corps-tom-cruise-jake-gyllenhaal-ryan-reynods/

Ryan Reynolds inclusion on the list makes the whole thing seem false. The Wrap claims the it's because his "superhero stock" is really high at the moment but that to me is just another reason he shouldn't be on the list. Not to mention the confusing mess it would make of the universe's continuity.

Tom Cruise also makes little sense. The dude's got himself involved in so many big budget franchises now that I just don't see how his schedule would allow him to do this. I get why they'd want a mega star in the role though.

I like Joel McHale and Jake Gyllenhaal as Lanterns but I think they'd work better as Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner respectively. And I don't know why people are still trying to make Armie Hammer a thing.

If I had to pick from this list I'd say Bradley Cooper was the guy but I'm not in love with that choice either.  All in all the article says WB haven't even spoken to any of these guys and I'd be pretty surprised if any of them ended up in the role.

The other rumor is that The Rock's Black Adam will be getting his own solo film:

http://screenrant.com/dwayne-johnson-black-adam-movie-shazam-separate/

The interesting part of this to me is that it would come BEFORE the Shazam movie and that he might not even play that crucial of a role in Billy Batson's first outing. Letting The Rock star in his own movie makes a whole lot of financial sense and the idea of the Villain getting a whole movie worth of backstory sounds intriguing but I don't get why you wouldn't roll that momentum into Shazam's first movie.

I had the misfortune of seeing it in a really shitty theater but I still managed to enjoy it for the most part.  I love the way they embraced her complicated and constantly retconned origin and turned it into something that shaped her as a character.
