Is this for real though or is it a post-"Flashpoint" alternate timeline thing? There's pictures of him on set with a guy dressed in what looks like a Batman inspired speedsuit. It makes me think that in the new timeline Barry never becomes The Flash, someone else does and alt-timeline Wally is his sidekick.

I just hope Wally has a better name than Kid Flash because whenever I picture someone from that show calling Wally that is whenever its used in a teasing manner than a serious superhero name.

Or it's a guy in a red striped sweater in a children's book.

I know time travel stories are inherently wonky and illogical but I always prefer when a story establishes some rules for it and sticks to them. It annoys me that Flash just says fudge it all and uses time travel however they want whenever they want.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of Time Travel stories begin to unravel as they go on but The Flash writers seems like they never had any intentions of adding logic to theirs. Sort of looks like they might be getting rid of Time Travel all together for the time being though.

It's the old 'logic vs. fun' argument again - if there's too little adherence to logic in the name of 'fun', then you can't enjoy the story so much. Doctor Who always walks this knife edge - it usually succeeds, but sometimes fudges something for the sake of the story that stops a lot of people enjoying it (see 'Kill The Moon').

I just about kept up with the logic of 'Flashpoint', but agree that the writers need to sit down with a big whiteboard and make sure they have this stuff lined up for future reference. Using 'time remnants' to have Reverse Flash pop up last year was hard enough to get my head around, but there's still that episode where Barry went back to the S1 fight with Pied Piper, and we had the whole episode of S2 Barry being discovered by Thawne-Wells and THERE WAS NO FALLOUT WHATSOEVER.

If you establish that making any change to the past can ripple out and eff up the future, then that remains a huge plot point they just struck off without answering. Had they run 'Flashpoint' on any longer I daresay we'd have seen more of that - let's hope they behave themselves for a while.

There's also the big fact they have a show where people travel in time and cause a little bit of ruckus, contradicting a lot of Flash logic.

I hate to say it but I think The Flash is now the Berlanti-verse show I look forward to the least each week. Where the first season was so refreshing for the way it didn't hold anything back and made you wonder how the story was going to be able to sustain itself long term it lately feels like it's going to accomplish that by just repeating itself a whole lot.

I gave up. Sorry, The Flash but you've drained all the fun out of you. Plus Barry isn't the fastest man alive - so his constant boasting makes him sound like a dick.

I consistently say "meh" after watching this show (and Arrow as well).
The death of Iris (can't really say this is a spoiler, because it was always going to happen) had no emotional connection to me whatsoever.
In fact, I thought the Black Flash (the one who was after the Reverse Flash) would show up and take Savitar -  being a time remnant and all, but then that would lead to a lame finale.

Sorry, it's still going to be a lame finale.

This season was a tragedy. End rant.
PS I've dropped this show as well. In fact, I've dropped all the "Arrowverse" shows.
